Our Process

When you hire Richtone, you will understand the scope of the project (The Richtone Difference) and you can expect that every necessary step has been addressed, which may include the following:

Surface Preparation - This critical step will improve the paint bond and delay paint failure.  Windows and siding are prepared by: pressure washing; treating mildew with solution and removing grime deposits.  When completing interior paint projects, often we complete a bit of drywall repair as needed.  
 

Scraping - Removing loose paint and sanding out inconsistencies prepares the surface for application of the new paint coat.  The need for scraping will depend on the quality of the previous paint job and the exposure to weather elements.  

Repairs & Caulking - Maintenance prevents water damage.  After inspecting the house and making recommendations we are equipped and qualified to repair any deteriorated areas and apply caulk.  

Masking - Careful masking of surfaces not intended for paint results in a sharp finish.  We cover surfaces large clothes or even remove furniture and fixtures if necessary, always considering how the project may affect the customer.  

Painting - The application will vary depending on what is neccessary to create visual appeal and a durable coat.  In some cases multiple coats may be required and may include a primer coat.  The application may require a combination of brushing, rolling and spraying.  We can recommend paint products or use products provided by the customer. 

Clean-Up Process - During the clean up phase we remove masking, replace furniture and fixtures and dispose of any waste materials.
